Colin is CEO of Knowledge Quarter Liverpool (KQ Liverpool) and its spin out Development Company, Sciontec.

KQ Liverpool is one of the UK's foremost Innovation Districts and is at the heart of the recently announced Liverpool City Region Health and Life Sciences Investment Zone.

Sciontec owns and operates the highly successful Liverpool Science Park, the Sciontec AI serviced offices at The Spine and is developing the HEMISPHERE One & Two labs buildings at Paddington Village, Liverpool City Council’s flagship development site in KQ Liverpool.

Colin began his career in the music industry, managing bands and owning nightclubs and music venues including Manchester Boardwalk, before moving on to produce major televised events.

He was then CEO of Manchester’s investment and development agency (MIDAS) and, before taking up his role at KQ Liverpool, was a main Board Director at the property firm Bruntwood, leading their diversification into owning and developing science parks.
